I tested SBC Skincare's Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel, Body Butter and Moisturising Gel
You would have to be hiding under a rock, not to have experienced the high temperatures and constant sunshine over the past few weeks.
So when it came to reviewing skincare gels from SBC Skincare it was perfect timing for this reviewer as their products are packed full of aloe vera, a 100% natural property with undeniable dermatological benefits.
Taken from the thick gel inside the leaves of the aloe vera cactus, aloe vera gel has been used as a natural remedy for thousands of years. The high-water content (over 98%) means it is super hydrating, soothing and cooling which is just perfect for these extreme temperatures we are experiencing.

The Aloe VeraMoisturising Gel 300ml £6.50 – £32.00
The Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel from SBC Skincare absorbs effortlessly into the skin and can also be used as a body moisturiser, make-up primer or face mask.
How to use: As a moisturiser, apply generously over face and body; as a primer or hydrator, apply a light layer under make-up or moisturiser, as a mask for intense hydration, apply a thick layer to face and/or body, leave until absorbed, remove any residue, if required and keep in the fridge for a cooler application
Our verdict: This water-based and oil-free gel is quickly absorbed and instantly cooled my skin. It has a nice, delicate aroma and glides on the skin a treat, soaking in quickly and leaving skin feeling moisturised afterwards. The pump dispenser is easy to use and the size is excellent value for money. I’m a regular swimmer so my legs and arms can sometimes have dry patches but this gel ticked all the boxes for me as within a few applications the look of my skin had dramatically improved.
The Aloe VeraMoisturising Body Wash 300ml £4.50 – £29.50
The Aloe Vera Moisturising Body Wash from SBC Skincare is infused with aloe vera and cucumber, two natural extracts known to cool, replenish and hydrate the skin and glycerin to help to lock in and restore moisture.
How to use:Pump into your hands and apply to damp skin; for a rich lather, apply with a sponge or shower puff, take your time to massage the aromatic lather into the skin before rinsing thoroughly or alternatively, pour generously into a running bath and soak.
Our verdict:This comes out in great big, thick, yoghurty dollops, and produces a rich, creamy lather that doesn’t dry out the skin. Of all the body washes I’ve tried recently, this has been head and shoulders above the rest for me. As a bubble bath this bright green product transforms into thick foam when added to water. The high-quality foam built up in bubble mountains. Expect a really relaxing soak leaving the skin feeling wonderful.
The Aloe VeraBody Butter 400ml £23.50
The Aloe Vera Body Butter from SBC Skincare helps to soothe, hydrate, moisturise and de-puff the appearance of your skin. Infused with aloe vera and cucumber to soothe, hydrate and restore your skin and the nourishing blend of shea butter, avocado oil and vitamin E deeply moisturise and lock in moisture by forming a protective layer that helps prevent moisture loss.
How to use : Apply daily to the entire body after bathing or showering.
Our verdict: Often your body needs a heavy dose of hydration, and an ultra-rich formula can provide just that. The Aloe Vera Moisturising Butter from SBC Skincare glides on easily, offering instant cooling relief without any lingering greasiness. The entire process feels indulgent. This vegan-friendly body butter is suitable for all skin types and is ideal after sun-exposure. This body butter means business and it delivers.
So with all of its moisturising and soothing benefits, aloe vera deserves some space on your counter for more than just the summer.
